Dear friends,
I’m delighted to invite you to a special evening of music on Saturday, 8th November at The Avalon Community Centre, Glastonbury. Doors open at 7:00 PM for a 7:30 PM start.
I’ll be starting off the evening with a set of original songs on guitar and harp, as well as a few covers — new and old — joined by the wonderful Ishtara on viola. After the break (where there will be tea and homemade cake available), the brilliant Andy Skellam will take the stage for a solo set.
Andy is a Bristol-based folk artist known for his poetic lyrics, mellow baritone voice, and distinctive guitar style. His songs explore themes of loss, eco-anxiety, and romantic escapism with quiet humour and emotional depth.
I first heard Andy’s music at a house party in Bristol where I’d been invited to sing. His set left a deep impression on me, and I knew I wanted to create a space where I could hear him again — and share that experience with others. That spark of inspiration led to the creation of The Songbird Sessions.

As it’s a small venue, please do book in advance to avoid disappointment.

💷 Please note: this will be a cash-only evening, so do bring some dosh if you’re coming along!
🎶 A little news update:
On Thursday, 30th October, I’ll be singing live on GWS Radio, a local Glastonbury station, as part of the Live Lounge show hosted by Nigel Cox. I’ll be chatting about The Songbird Sessions and performing with the wonderful Ishtara Veen on viola. The show begins at 5 PM, and I’ll be on a little later — just after the cast of Frankenstein, who will be doing a reading from the play.

I’ll also be joining Sarah Mooney, an amazing storyteller, on her Substack podcast Mooney’s Mythic Podcast. We’ll be talking about the upcoming evening and I’ll be sharing a song as well. The episode should be live by the end of the week — you can find it here: https://sarahmooney.substack.com?utm_source=navbar&utm_medium=web
I hope to see you soon — whether in person or over the airwaves.
