Poster for The Songbird Sessions featuring a double bill with Andy Skellam and Sarah Curtis on Saturday 8 November at The Avalon Centre, Glastonbury.

Join us on Friday 8th November for the very first Songbird Sessions - a fantastic double bill featuring two exceptional singer-songwriters, Andy Skellam and Sarah Curtis, in the cosy setting of The Avalon Centre, Glastonbury.

With a glowing log burner, gentle lighting, and tea and cake available during the interval, this intimate evening promises a soothing autumnal atmosphere and music to warm the soul.

Andy Skellam is a Bristol-based folk artist known for his poetic lyrics, mellow baritone voice, and distinctive guitar style. His songs blend surreal folk and dissonant blues, exploring themes of loss, eco-anxiety, and romantic escapism with quiet humour and emotional depth.

Sarah Curtis, a Somerset-based singer-songwriter, brings Sufi-inspired spirituality to her original songs and tender reworkings of well-known covers. Performing on harp, and guitar, her music is rooted in love, nature, and opening hearts. Beth Orton describes her voice as “so beautiful.”

Doors open at 7pm. £12/10

It’s a small venue, so please book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. You can buy tickets on the door also.
